What a Corpus Christi contractor website needs to win more calls
When an AC dies in August or a storm takes shingles off a roof, Corpus Christi homeowners don't browse. They search, scan the first few results on their phone, and call whoever looks trustworthy and available. Here's what your website needs so that call comes to you.
1. A phone number you can tap in one second
Most of your visitors are on a phone, often stressed. Put a tap-to-call button at the very top of every page, and keep it visible as they scroll. If they have to hunt for your number, they'll hit the back button and call the next company.
2. Say exactly where you work
Google needs to know you serve their area, and so does the customer. List the places you cover (Corpus Christi, Flour Bluff, Portland, Calallen, Robstown, Padre Island, and so on) in plain text on your site, not just on a map image. A dedicated page for your main service area is even better.
3. One clear section per service
"We do it all" doesn't rank well and doesn't reassure anyone. Give each main service (AC repair, installs, roof replacement, water heaters) its own clearly headed section or page, with a sentence or two about what's included.
4. Proof you're the real deal
- License and insurance details, stated plainly.
- Photos of your actual work and your trucks or crew, not stock photos.
- Reviews, with a link to your Google Business Profile so people can read more.
- How long you've been in business and whether you're locally owned.
5. Tell people when you're available
If you offer emergency or same-day service, say so near the top. If you work weekends, say that too. During storm season and heat waves, availability is often what decides who gets the job.
6. A short quote form
Some customers would rather type than call, especially for bigger jobs like a new roof. Keep the form short: name, phone, address or area, and what they need. Every extra field loses people.
7. Fast on a phone
A site that takes more than a few seconds to load on mobile data loses visitors before they see your name. Keep images compressed, skip the autoplay video, and test your site on your own phone.
The checklist
- Tap-to-call button at the top of every page
- Service areas listed in plain text
- A clear section for each main service
- License, insurance, real photos, and reviews
- Emergency / weekend availability stated up front
- A short quote request form
- Loads fast on a phone
